Important to Know

  • Step 1:  Visit www.actstudent.org  and create your own account – Use this to register for exams, get testing advice, exam scores and more!
  • The ACT test has two versions available:  The ACT or the ACT plus Writing.  Generally, the ACT plus Writing is a more comprehensive exam and may be preferred by college admissions offices.
  • Both versions of the ACT exam will include multiple-choice questions assessing your knowledge in English, Mathematics, Science, and Reading. These are available at each testing session.
  • More than 35% of LPHS graduates take the ACT at least once  (Classes of 2010 and 2011).
  • Lake Placid High School CEEB code is 332 755 – include this in all test registrations to ensure we receive a copy of your score report.
  • Testing accommodations at school do NOT automatically apply to ACT exams.  These must be requested at least 7 weeks before your intended test date.  See the Guidance Office now for more information.
